Date: 20th century
Iconography and symbolism: The woman represents the Ancestral Mother, the vital principle and source of fertility. Her breasts and belly symbolize nourishment and the ability to procreate. The lateral figures reinforce her role as mother and spiritual guide. The act of lifting vessels is a ritual gesture of offering to the spirits.
Purpose: Used in the ceremonies of the Poro initiatory society, to educate young people and instill moral values.
